Astoria/CMA Steam & Water Valve Seat Seal
Small EPDM seat seal used in Astoria and Wega steam and water valves. It's a simple part, but it does its job under constant heat cycling until it hardens and starts to weep.
SPECIFICATIONS
- Dimensions: 15 x 4 x 4 mm
- Material: EPDM rubber, 80 Shore hardness
COMPATIBILITY
- Fits: Astoria and Wega steam/water valves
- Works with: valve seat/gasket holder assembly, held in place with a small fixing nut
INSTALLATION
DIY-friendly, but be prepared to destroy the old one getting it out.
PRO TIPS
- By the time these are worn enough to leak, they're usually brittle and will crumble rather than pull free, plan on prying and chipping the old seal out of its holder with a small pick rather than expecting it to come out in one piece. The new seal has no directional orientation, so it drops in either way.
